Rachel Champa of Sea & Linen
Rachel Champa is the artist behind Sea & Linen, a collection of original paintings inspired by the landscapes and coastlines of her native New England. She started Sea & Linen when her youngest son was five months old, painting in the quiet hours of combined nap times. Still painting in moments of calm, during naps and after bedtime, her favorite subjects are seascapes, marshes, and hydrangeas, painted in acrylic on linen and cotton. Most recently, she has been hand-placing linen fabric onto painted waves and sand, adding natural texture to seascapes. Rachel’s work reflects the calmness she feels while painting and being by the sea — through color palettes, textures, and brushstrokes.
Rachel lives in Massachusetts with her husband, three boys, and their dog, a lively Boykin Spaniel.
