Susan E. Hamilton Designs
Susan Hamilton is a self-taught mixed media artist whose work explores the fusion of texture, color, and classic elegance.
Her pieces are a vibrant interplay of acrylic paint, wood and handcrafted polymer clay flowers. Regardless of the medium, each element of Susan’s work is thoughtfully layered to create depth and dimension.
Susan’s work balances boldness with intricacy: each flower is sculpted by hand, each brushstroke is thoughtfully placed. Her work invites the viewer into a world where tradition meets tactile innovation, and where stories unfold through detail and ornamentation.
Driven by intuition and a deep appreciation for the decorative arts, Susan continues to push the boundaries of mixed media, creating unique pieces that feel both timeless and deeply personal.
Susan lives and works in Raleigh, North Carolina. When she isn’t in her studio, she can be found working in her garden, curled up with a good book, or chasing after her two busy grandchildren.
